ABOUT ME

I thought for my undericted blog post this week I would give you a brief introduction to me. I am a 33 year old MSU student in my last semester as an art student. I have worked for Waterfield Library for four years as a student worker at the circulation desk. I took this class becuse I am considering going top grad school for library science and thought it would be a good way to learn more about what a librarian actually does in this the computer age. As an art student I have focused my work in Metal smithing. I enjoy the flexability of the matirials one can use to make art with Metals. ie. I am currently making a brooch that will represeant a lotus flowers seed pod out of copper applying color using a technique called prisma coloring. This brooch will have a childish aspect to it with the use of a koosh ball wich is the object pictured at the top of the page.
the end of this semester I will have a show opening in the upper gallery of the clara egale gallery in New Fine arts (7th Floor). I hope to see you all there!

  1. Hey Liz - Well as your mother I've known you for a while. I am looking forward to your show. I know there's things you've created that I haven't seen yet. I'm always amazed at your thought processes and your skillz.
I love brooches and the one you're making right now sounds intriguing.
